AHMET YİĞİTBAŞI

Ahmet Fahri Yiğitbaşı studied Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University in Germany and holds a Master’s Degree in Fuel Engineering.

He started his career at the Union Kraftstoff in Germany in 1987 and later worked at Desa Machinery and Boilers Industries Inc. between 1989 and 1990. He then acted as the Vice-CEO and eventually as the CEO of Botaş Packaging Industries Inc. between 1990 and 1996. At the Yaşar Holding Paint & Chemicals Group, he served as the Vice-President for numerous business units including Car, Industrial and Decorative Paints, as well as Printing Inks from 1996 to 2001. He was the President of the Paints & Chemicals Division for the periods of 2001-2006; the President of Overseas Investments & Business Development from 2006 to 2009 and the President of the Paints Division between 2009 and 2015 at Yaşar Holding. He continues to serve as the Executive Board Member of Dyo Paints Inc., and as the Vice-President of the Executive Board of Desa Energy Inc. since 2015.

Ahmet Fahri Yiğitbaşı also served as a member and later as the Acting-President of the Board of Trustees of Yaşar University between 2003 and 2010 and has been the President of the Board of Trustees since 2010.

He served on the Executive Board of the Association of Paint Industry (BOSAD) as a founding member between 2003 and 2019. He also served as the President of the Executive Board between 2007-2009 and 2015-2019.
